Because I’m at the parks so often, it’s rare that I discover anything new at Disney, but I sure do love to keep an eye out for the little changes.
A couple weeks ago, Jon, Graham and I went for a random Sunday visit after church. Sunday mornings are usually a favorite time of ours to visit The Mouse (especially if we can get there before rope drop) because the parks are less crowded, but this also happened to be Valentine’s Day AND Presidents Day weekend, so the Magic Kingdom was. packed. We snagged some Fast Passes and moved the times around so they were back to back.
While we waited for our reservation to ride Dumbo, we strolled around Fantasyland (specifically in the area called “Storybook Circus”) and found a hidden gem. Y’all, it was an oasis in the middle of the bustling park. It’s an area between the Fantasyland train stop and Pete’s Silly Sideshow under a big top tent that doesn’t even get a number on the map (which is part of why it’s so awesome and quiet). It’s shaded, but open air, and there are chairs, tables, and CHARGING STATIONS (can I get a hallelujah?!). This place is awesome.
The next time you need a few minutes away from the crowds, search for this little area and take a minute to breathe.
What hidden gems have you found in the Disney parks?
